Mammoth Snowman Report

,

25% off Black Tie Ski Rental Discount1-13-2017 – 7am – Currently we have light snow over Mammoth Mountain with a few flakes down here in the village area.

Over the last 24 hours we picked up over 2 feet of blower champagne powder. Some of the best powder I have ever had on the mountain.

Today you will find untracked over on the faces of 3 and 5. Chair 22 and 25 got skied out yesterday so you need a new plan to score the deep fresh today.

Totals now for this storm cycle at ski area range from 10-20 feet, from Little Eagle to the top of Mammoth Mountain.

Today we expect snow showers then pt cloudy skies later in the day. Highs will be in the 20s today out on the mountain with NE winds to 15-25 MPH

Lifts running today will be all lower and mid mountain lifts, at this time the top, the back side and chair 9 are closed until further notice. That could be later today or it could mean Saturday. We will let you know when the news come in on the top.

For the MLK weekend get ready for lots of fun on a massive base of snow. There is also going to be a big crowd as the town is 100% booked now. So get out on the hill early to avoid the masses.

If you want more snow late next week the next storm cycle comes in and that one has 5+ inches of QPF in it. WG says it will all be snow and not just on the Mountain but also in town.

Snowman out…
