Sunday April 1st, 2012 – It’s full on winter conditions with 6-10+ inches of fresh snow out on the hill today.

We had big time winds last night so head to the powder stashes that do not get stripped off or wind effected this am.

The snow was a bit heavy to start so it should be your own personal epic in spots today.

Photo Shots – Some fresh Photo Shots from around the hill. We got base check it out here.

Current Conditions at 8am on Sunday: Up top we have a SW wind gusting to 28 and a temperature of 8.

Down at the Main Lodge we have a base of 60 inches with a temperature of 15 and NW winds to 14.

Snow Conditions: Powder, Packed Powder and transitioning to wind buff snow. Last night the Ski Area groomed out 81 runs for a total of 853 acres.

Fun day, although I still hit bottom a lot. Was the first person into Gravy Chute, which was good. Then set the traverse out to the Bear, which was also good, although not as deep as I expected. Then I got 2nd chair on 5 and a fresh line all the way down, but the top was icy moguls that were downright terrifying on the Powderboards. Then I waited for the gondola, saw Tom Wallisch, and was the first person to go the the ‘Noids. P2 was perfect. Then I was the 2nd person up Hemlock, which actually provided some faceshots. The second run on Hemlock was almost as good, but after that, everything was hammered and getting heavy, so I called it a day.  Definitely quality over quantity.

If you looking for a taste of winter before spring hits come on up NOW.
