12-21-2016 – 8AM – Good morning from Mammoth Mountain, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
If your out on the hill today and Thursday highs will be in the 30s with SW winds 15-25 MPH. Todays clouds should give way to clear skies on Thursday.
As we move into Friday we have a WINTER STORM WARNING posted. At this time it looks like the snow will not start in the am but wait till later in the day to get going.
Be ready for snow way down the grade Friday night with blizzard conditions at times from Crowley to Mammoth possible. Timing on the snowfall could change again so keep checking back with us before you head to Mammoth Lakes.
At this time the forecast calls for snow amounts as follows: 24-36 inches on Mammoth Mountain with a good 6-12+ inches down in town. This snow will be light and dry and of course it’s Christmas Powder so get ready for a treat on Christmas Day.

Snow Conditions Report and News from The Hill
12-19-2016 – Snow Report Update with 2-5+ feet of new base snow the ski area is in mid-winter conditions. 100% of the hill is now open, be aware the chair 9 and 25 areas could use some more snow in spots so watch your line.
The base is a bit low down at Eagle but the rest of the hill is covered as follows: Canyon Lodge 2 feet, Lincoln 3-5 Feet, 4-5 feet at Main Lodge and up top 10-11 feet.
Snow condition: The groomers area great machine groomed packed power with just about all runs getting groomed nightly during the holiday season. Your best bet for fresh groomed is to get in line just before the lifts open.
Off the groomers you will find some nice skier & snowboarder packed out powder snow. Some runs up top are getting a more of a wind buff type of surface now.
