Mammoth Snowman Report

12-30-2016 – 3:30 PM – Good day from Mammoth Mountain, lot’s of high clouds over the area at this time.

Snow conditions out on the hill are a mix of firmer to soft packed powder with some wind blown sugar blowing around at times.

All lifts and runs are open on a base of 24 to 150 inches from Little Eagle to the Top.

Mammoth Lakes is booked out thru Saturday night, after that you will be able to find some lodging.

Weather wise for New Years Weekend, it will be pt cloudy with winds 15-35 MPH out of the SW with a chance of snow showers on Saturday. Highs will be in the 20’s to low 30’s with a low of around 16 at Main Lodge.

Next week things look to get fun as we start the week with a moderate storm that should be all snow for Mammoth Lakes and Mammoth Mountain.  Looks like 1-2 feet for the ski area and 6-12 inches in town.

DUMP ALERT!! – New this season Snowman will be emailing and texting a dump alert once it starts to snow, along with our dump alert we also have a once a month newsletter that comes out the first week of each new month. Here is the link to sign up…
