Mammoth Snowman Report

25% off Black Tie Ski Rental Discount1-12-2017 – Good evening its 7 PM We have light to moderate snow in Mammoth Lakes at this time.

Overnight we could pick up 3-5+ inches of fresh with snow showers and pt cloudy skies on Friday.

Over this storm cycle the ski area has picked up 8-18 feet from Little Eagle to the top of Mammoth Mountain.

Today we had an explosion of snow out on the hill. The day started with around 12-18 new and during the morning hours we picked up an additional foot, with more refills falling over the afternoon hours.

Snowman can say that was one of the best powder sessions I have had out on 22… o my Deep and Feathery Powder.

For Friday we could have more showers and then things start to clear out.

The ski area will be able to take on the task of the final avy control so they can get the top, the backside and chair 9 running again.

If you’re coming up for Friday be prepared, it will take a long time to clear the upper mountain after 18+ feet of new snow.

For the MLK weekend get ready for lots of fun on a massive base of snow. There is also going to be a big crowd as the town is 99% booked now. So get out on the hill early to avoid the masses.

If you want more snow late next week the next storm cycle comes in and that one has 5-10+ inches of QPF in it. WG says it will all be snow and not just on the Mountain but also in town.

Snowman out…
