As of this hour winds are gusting to 35 MPH out of the south. Expect gust to 45 MPH at times this am and then winds are forecast to back down as the day goes on.
Highs in the 30s Today and Wednesday and then into the 40s on Thursday and Friday. Winds are forecast to be light after today thru Friday.
The weekend looks windy with clear skies on Saturday with snow moving in some time on Sunday with strong gusty winds.
Snow conditions for today look to be wind buff with some stashes of powder here and there. Yesterday’s 5-8 inches of fresh has been wind effected now for about 12 hours.
Snowman will be back out on the hill on Wednesday for a fresh photo and video snow report.
Up on the hill the base at Main is at the 210-inch mark, with over 350 inches over the top of the mountain. This is the deepest base for this date in time since the ski area began keeping records.
Roads are back to R1 so chain up if your not in a 4 x 4 today. Slow down and watch for slick spots.
Looking at the weather, clear blue skies into Saturday and then a chance of snow showers developing on Sunday into Monday. This is new to the forecast so we will have a update later today on this surprise little system coming in.
The last couple model runs show a second system next week and a third for the following weekend. So it looks like maybe that big break in the action might not happen. WG will clear things up for us later today.
