The NWS has issued a winter storm warning tonight thru Sunday.
At this time winds are gusting up to 70 MPH at the top of Lincoln. Chairs 5, 9, 22, 23, and 25 are on wind hold.
Today expect highs in the 30s with increasing clouds late in the day. Winds out of the SW 35-45 with gusts to 70+ MPH
By Sunday winds could be gusting to 100+ MPH over higher elevations. Snow will also be moving in late on Saturday and by Monday we could see 1-2+ feet of fresh powder out on Mammoth Mountain.
Roads are clear at this time, but should require chains later on Saturday night into Monday evening. Snow levels will be low so be ready for a slow ride on 395 on Sunday.
Snow conditions, the mountain has some really fun groomed out packed powder on about 2000 acers of terrain today. Off the groomed it’s a fun skier and rider packed out snow surface with lots of wind buff surface conditions. You can add in blowing sugar snow all around the hill.
Up on the hill the base at Main is at the 210-inch mark, with over 350 inches over the top of the mountain.
Have a great today from the Snowman Team!
