Currently we have clear skies with WNW winds up top.
At this time Main Lodge has a temperature of 37. Over the top of Mammoth Mountain its 30 with sustained WNW winds at 20 MPH with gusts to 57 MPH.
Weather conditions, today will be clear and cool with winds turing to the W to SW at 30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Lower on the hill winds will be in the 15-30 MPH range.
Highs will be in the mid 30s to low 40s. The best snow will off the lifts lower down on the hill today. Things should get softer has the day goes on up top but still to cool for full on spring up there.
Friday things cool off in to the low to mid 30s and we get the north wind back so expect firm conditions.
For Saturday we will have decrease north winds during the day, to start we could see gusts to 50 MPH with very firm conditions. As the day goes on runs not exposed to that direct north wind will thaw with highs in the upper 40’s.
Sunday into next Wednesday will be perfect spring weather with highs in the mids 50s and afternoon SW winds to 25 MPH.
Snow Conditions are now full on spring across the entire mountain. So you can expect the snow to be groomed out and firm at 8:30 in the morning.
On days when it’s not cloudy or we have N to NE winds, the snow starts to thaw out by 9 – 930 in the morning on the lower groomers that get direct sun. Try Stump Alley this week for the first run to get the softest snow.
With 3 1/2 months of spring and summer skiing still on the schedule it would be a good idea to head into Command Performance to get your skis resurfaced for spring snow.

At this time Mammoth Mountain has a base from Main Lodge to the top of 185 to 350 + inches. Nasa did a laser of the base on Dave’s and came up with an amazing 60+ feet. Expect the top to have a base that is still there for the start of next ski season.
Snowman has heard there is a small chance that the ski area could stay open right into next season. If you have a season pass expect it to get cut off in August.
