Mountain Biking Season 2021: 

The Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is now open with 49 mountain runs accessible. The trails open are all in great shape. The bike park crew has been going all out to make for a great ride out there.

Looks like we might see some rain in the park on Monday, so could be some brown pow for Tuesday.

Lifts running on the weekdays now are Gondola 1 and 2, Discovery Chair, and the Bike Park Shuttle out of the Village at the bottom of Canyon Blvd. Chair 16 and Chair 2 will be running Friday – Sundays through Labor Day Weekend.

With the park now officially opened you need a ticket or pass from 9 AM to 6 PM if you’re going to be on any of the open trails.

Outside of the park, there is some really good mountain biking going on up here on the East Side from Bishop to Mammoth Lakes and on up to June Lakes.

With the Summer days upon us I would plan to ride early in the day. Carry extra water and be ready to encounter sandy sections out there as all the service and forest roads have really dried up now.

If you’re going to ride down in Bishop I would be starting now no later than 7:00 AM or it’s going to be too hot to ride.
