5 Day Mammoth and Eastern Sierra Weather Update
11-2-21 @ 10:40 AM Over the next 5 days here is what you can expect from the weather here in the Eastern Sierra.
A ridge of high pressure will be building into the area today warming area highs. That ridge of high pressure will bring even warmer conditions on Wednesday.
On Thursday we are at the southern end of a low-pressure system moving to our north. That system will bring a slight chance of showers Thursday and then we get more ridging into the weekend for continued Spring in Fall weather.
Here’s your basic forecast into Sunday: Skies will be mostly clear Tuesday and Wednesday with highs up to 50 at Main Lodge today with a 55 forecast for Wednesday. Mammoth Lakes will be un the upper 50s to low 60s with low to mid 70s in Bishop.
Nighttime lows will be in the mid to upper 30s for Mammoth Mountain, so Snowmaking will remain off. Lower elevations in the high country will have lows in the mid 30s with Bishop in the 40s.
There will be a bit of cool down on Thursday with a 20 % chance of rain and snow above 9500 feet and then Friday and Saturday will be about the same as mid week.
Winds over the period will be out of the SW at 10-15 with gust in the 25-35 MPH range over the higher elevations at times.
