Mammoth Mountain Snow Report from the Snowman

2-19-2022 – 9 AM – Snow conditions right now are a never-ending story of the same thing. The “Groomers are King” with a firm base and a softer corduroy surface. The best snow is on the days when the wind is light and the temperatures around the hill get up into the mid-40s.

The trip report below from 2-12 is still accurate for what it’s like out there. There will be a fresh snow trip and run report along with new photos and a new video next week. Just waiting for some fresh snowfall to move into the area.

It does look like Mammoth Mountain will get more normal snowfall as we move into late February and through the month of March. Could be a mini March Miricle in the works for us as models are trending wetter for March now.

Snowman…

PS: If you have a killer public view from your private Home in Mammoth, we are looking for Webcam hosts, more details to come in about a week.

Here is a classic photo from 20 years ago by Caveman Dave – Every weekday Dave would go out ride around a bit and then do one of his carvings in the snow.
