Mammoth Mountain & Eastern Sierra Weather Forecast

Recreational Weather Forecast – Mammoth Mountain & the Eastern Sierra

Good Saturday afternoon on this April 23rd @ 5:17 PM

Weather Summary: A short wave ridge of high pressure will be moving thru the area over the next couple of days. The will bring winds down and daytime highs up for Sunday and Monday.

Then a longwave trough sets up well to the north of the Eastern Sierra and from that, you can expect breezy conditions at times and temperatures below average for this time of year.

That should be the pattern out to day 10 and possibly beyond. May is looking cool with some periods of lighter snow at times.

If you’re going to be out on Mammoth Mountain on Sunday or Monday expect sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s at Main with upper 30s up top.

On Sunday there will also be a northeast wind flow of 10-25+ MPH at times in the morning turning to the SW at some point during the day. And then by Monday winds will be in the 15-30 MPH range with gusts to 40 MPH over the top of the Mountain.

Lower elevations will be warming up and will offer up some nice spring weather over the next week. If you’re in Mammoth expect it to be breezy at times.

Should be a great week to recreate from Mammoth Lakes down to Bishop, not too cold and not too hot.
