Mammoth Mountain Snow Report from the Snowman

Local’s Snow Report for Mammoth Mountain on Monday, May 30th, 2022

The last week of skiing and riding is upon us, the snowpack is getting slim but there is still enough for one more week of fun on limited terrain.

Die-hards are loving it for sure right now, if you’re thinking of coming up you will want to plan on skiing for a few hours and then trying a second activity.

The snow has continued to be firm early and then corn up mid to late morning. There will be some warming temperatures the next few days so the corn will come out faster by mid-week.

The base at Main Lodge is around 0-8 inches with just a stipe of snow now on Andy’s Double Gold, Fascination, Rusty’s, and lower St Anton.

Up top, there is a base of around 18-30 inches.  Still some good lines on Scotties, Cornice, and in the Drop Outs. There are also a couple of cool lines that are built up under Hangmans.

Starting on Monday lifts running will be chairs 1, 3, and 23. Chair 2 and the Mill will be closed as the snow has melted out.

The gondola will be closed for its spring maintenance for the next couple of weeks.

Lift hours are from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM with the Mountain set to close next Sunday for winter sports.

The Mountain Bike Park is now open with runs open from F Stop to Canyon and Eagle Lodges.
