Eastern Sierra and Mammoth Mountain Mountain Bike Report

Eastern Sierra Mountain Biking Report

Wednesday, August 30th, 2022 @ 1:26 PM – It’s the final days of the Summer up here in the Eastern Sierra.

Expect clear skies with well above normal temperatures into Labor day. Beyond that, the warm days will still be here but you can add in some possible T Storms to the mix. Expect more fall-like weather by mid-September.

Taking a look at the conditions in the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park it’s been dry for 2 weeks now so while trail conditions are still great you’re going to encounter some dust in spots.

Just 18 days left for lift access in the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park. After that, it’s all pedal power under Fall skies, can’t wait for those days myself, sounds delightful.

Riding out on National Forest Service land the trails and service roads are also in great shape from this August’s rainfall.

Give Mountain View Trail a try or the Knolls Loop a spin. If I had to choose one of those I would go with Mountain View which starts above 8500 feet.

For those looking to ride in the High Desert or Bishop area, overnight lows have cooled but with the new heat wave in the area, it’s time for sunrise rides or forget it. Out at Chipmunk Canyon, the forecasted highs are in the mid-100s by noon this weekend.

If anyone wants to ride I plan on being at Chipmunk Canyon around 7:00 AM this Wednesday and Saturday once again.

Ride on Snowman…

More Video Action from the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park

Been out getting a ton of content this Summer out in the Bike Park. Below are the 1st edits on some of the trail videos we are working on. Have a bunch more content to film via POV and soon walk-down stop-and-go shots.

I want to thank Mammoth Mountain for providing access to the hill this Summer. Been a ton of fun riding up and down the lifts, always just used to get a peddle pass, ha never again.
