Record-Breaking Winter 22/2023 Snowpack Photos
Mammoth Mountain April 15th, 2020 – These photos capture the massive, record-breaking snowpack on Mammoth Mountain as of Friday, March 24, 2023.
The current base at Main Lodge is approximately 285 inches, with over 82 inches of precipitation recorded throughout the whole season. At the Top, the base is at 340 inches, with over 800 inches of snowfall expected for the season.
All that snow and water amounts to a record-breaking snowpack and record-breaking snowfall amounts. The years 1969 and 1983 brought the most precipitation in the past, and they have now been surpassed by almost 10 inches of water.
