Mammoth Mountain Weather Forecast & Discussion
Saturday, April 8th, 2023 @ 10 AM – Good morning, the endless winter storm train will now come to an end. As we enter the mid-April time period expect the typical roller coaster ride of going from high pressure to weak troughing in the area.
That type of pattern brings periods of warm weather with light winds and then windy cooler weather with scattered snow showers that are sometimes mixed in.
Over the next few days expect clear skies with high-pressure building into the area and peaking on Sunday and Monday. Mammoth Mountain will get into the low to mid-50s with upper 50s in Mammoth Lakes. Down in Round Valley and the Bishop area highs will be in the low to mid-70s.
By the middle of next week, the high will have weakened and moved to our east. That will open the door to a hybrid inside slider that will come right down the spine of the Sierra.
The result for the area will be temperatures dropping about 10 degrees along with some moderate to gusty winds on Wednesday into Friday. There will also be a slight chance of snow showers next Thursday.
Beyond that time frame the next ridge builds in earnest by late next weekend offering up some very nice spring into early the following week.
