Mammoth Mountain Snow Report – 7-21-2019
It’s mid Summer now and the snow is melting fast.
Chairs 1 and 6 are closed so access out of Main is now via the Gondola only. Up at MC Coy Chair 3 is open as is chair 23 and Gondola 2.
Up top Cornice is getting groomed nightly to keep the bumps at bay.
The snow starts firm up top at 7:30 AM and quickly turns soft on all the open runs. Mammoth Mountain is now open until July 28th, 2019.
There is a 2-6 foot base out on the hill at this time. With the snow melting fast you can expect the open amount of terrain to shrink down to Saddle Bowl, Gremlins Gulch and Cornice this week.
All operations are out of Main Lodge: Lifts running this week are 3, 23 and Gondolas 1 and 2. You have to download from MC Coy Station to get back to Main Lodge.
Snowman out, ski ya later!
