Mammoth Mountain Weather Forecast & Discussion

3-20-2024 @ 9:30 AM – If you’re heading out on Mammoth Mountain today, expect clear skies with light west-to-southwest winds. Mid-day temperatures will be in the mid-40s around Main Lodge, with upper 40s to low 50s down on the runs around Canyon and Eagle Lodges.

On Thursday SW winds will slowly start to pick up again under Sunny skies, with a high near 42 around the Main Lodge. It will be windy on the mid and upper mountain, with a southwest wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.

On Friday expect pt cloudy skies with a south west wind 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 45-55 mph. Mid-day temperatures will be around 40 at the Main Lodge, with mid to upper 40s down on the runs around Canyon and Eagle Lodges. 

Snow showers will move into the area late on Friday night and last into the weekend with 5-10 inches possible by later in the day on Sunday. Snow ratios will be around 10-1, so the snow should stick in most areas of the hill.

For next week expect sunny skies for most of the week with the next system moving in around day 10 next Friday into the following weekend.
